The first official data relating to
digital radio broadcasts in Australia was released by Commercial
Radio Australia this week, showing six months after the consumer
launch of digital radio in the five state metropolitan capitals
of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, there are 449,000
people listening to digital radio in an average week, around 104,000
digital radios in the market and 80% of people who own a digital
radio would recommend it to a friend.
The Digital Radio Industry Report released by CRA includes data
from the official radio industry audience measurement survey company,
the Nielsen Company, consumer electronics market research company,
GfK, and market researcher, the Hoop Group. Read the full report

Commercial Radio Australia's Chief
Executive Officer, Joan Warner provided detailed report information
to a full room as the radio stream's keynote at the Australian Broadcasting

There were a selection of digital
radio receivers on display at Commercial Radio Australia's, Digital

As well as listening to all the stations
you know and love on DAB+, you can receive a number of digital only

to a variety of tastes.

As new digital radio stations switch
on, receivers should be auto-tuned. By doing a full scan of your
radio regularly you won't miss any new Stations! Simply follow the
prompts on your receiver menu, or manufacturers have outlined some
here
on how to do that.
Leading manufacturers and retailers
of digital radios met with the radio industry in Sydney last month
to discuss the ongoing promotion of digital radio and welcome new
representatives from Sony, Phillips, Denon and Target to the Broadcasters,
Retailers and Manufacturers Digital Radio Advisory Group.
