To enjoy the benefits of digital radio you will need to purchase a DAB+ digital receiver. Up until now Australian radio has been broadcast via analogue AM and FM signals.
Digital Radios come in all shapes and sizes and have an array of functions. Some are DAB+ only and some have FM included, some work on batteries and others are electric only.
Yet others deliver special features like Pause, Rewind and Record and others come with CD player, MP3 and/or ipod dock included. Major receiver manufacturers are selling DAB+ digital receivers now. Prices will vary, but will be as low as $140 for simple clock radios.
For a full overview of the types of receivers available, select the 'Radio' category at the top of the home page. You will be able to then view by category. You can also click on the Featured Radio icon on the home page to view details about digital radio receivers.
Some of the well known brand names include Sangean, Bush, PURE, Revo, Roberts, Yamaha, Grundig and many others being announced soon. You can buy digital radios from many well known retail outlets. The 'Find Retailers' web function allows you to simply enter your postcode and search for radio stockists in your area.
