Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) and retailer Clive Peeters today announced a major joint Christmas promotion that will see GadgetGuy™, Peter Blasina give digital radio information sessions in Clive Peeters stores.

Recognised as one of Australia’s foremost commentators on technology developments, Peter Blasina will present 15-minute-long digital radio sessions providing information on the new digital stations now broadcasting, exploring the range of digital radios available for sale in-store and demonstrating firsthand how easy digital radio technology is to use.

“This in-store promotion will work well with our digital radio Christmas on-air campaign.  Anecdotal in store experience has shown us that when listeners try digital radio and hear not only all their favourite stations but the great new digital stations they are keen to buy,” said Joan Warner chief executive officer of Commercial Radio Australia.

Matt Wagner-Smith, Clive Peeters National AV/IT Product Manager said the information sessions will be fun and will include special digital radio sale prices, plus it will give customers the chance to ask the Gadget Guy any questions they may have about digital radio.
 
“Clive Peeters has a wide range of DAB+ radios that includes Pure, Sangean, Yamaha and DGTEC and we think the information sessions with the Gadget Guy will help our customers to see the great benefits of digital radio and determine which radio suits them best,” said Mr Wagner-Smith. 

“I’ll be showing customers the scrolling text on digital radio, the pause and rewind available on some models and playing in store the great new digital only stations that are now available, simply by switching on your digital radio,” said Peter Blasina.

The Peter Blasina digital radio information sessions in Clive Peeters stores will initially run in Sydney before Christmas and to capitalise on the post Christmas shopping there will be further sessions in Melbourne in January with the potential for more to be added.
