Australian expertise at DAB+ showcase in Indonesia

The Australian commercial radio industry is providing DAB+ technical and management expertise to assist with a two day technology workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia next week.

The  DAB+ technology workshop and transmission demonstration includes a two day workshop followed by a two day transmission trial and field measurement exercise in and around the city of Jakarta, Indonesia from 24- 27 September.

Countries in the Asia Pacific Region are considering adopting the DAB+ technology successfully introduced by the Australian broadcast industry. 

The event is jointly organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, Ministry for Communications and Technology, Radio Republic Indonesia and WorldDMB.  The workshop will provide participants with up-to-date information on all aspects of planning and digital radio implementation of DAB+, its transmission technology and will demonstrate its enhanced features and efficiencies compared to analogue broadcast.
