August will be a big month for sports fans and radio listeners won’t miss a minute of the action if they tune in to DAB+ digital radio.

With the Olympic Games getting in to full swing, listeners will be able to follow the Aussies in action on a new pop-up radio station called 7 Rio Live starting on 6 August.

The station will capture the excitement and energy from Rio, broadcasting live from 5.30am to 1pm AEST each day. Select 7 Rio Live on your DAB+ radio or tune into Triple M Classic Rock or Modern Rock (Adelaide only).

English Premier League fans will also be in for a treat with the new season getting underway on 14 August.  Australia’s 24/7 digital sports radio network, EON Sports Radio, will be the exclusive Australian audio broadcaster of the EPL.  EON launched in July and will also broadcast sports such as the A League and the NBL.

For those who can’t get enough of the Socceroos and all things football, News Talk Sports features Box2Box on Fridays at 6pm and Saturdays at 6am.  The program is hosted by Rob Gilbert and Michael Edgley and discusses the latest news from the world game.

Racing fans in Sydney can tune into Sky Sports Radio via DAB+ to see data displays and exclusive sports content, while those in Melbourne can tune in to RSN Carnival, showcasing racing’s biggest events as well as punting value ahead of the weekend’s footy and women’s sports.
